POST OF “PROJECT ASSOCIATE”

Walk in interview for the post of Project Associate under the following project on a contractual basis.

Project Title – Genomic Surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 in India; Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomic Consortium (INSACOG)

Number of Post – One

Principal Investigator (PI) – Prof. Shiv Kumar Sarin, Senior Professor, Dept. of Hepatology

Contract duration – Three months

Funding agency – Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Govt. of India, Ministry of Science
and Technology

Laboratory – Genome Sequencing Lab

Upper Age limit (years) – 30

Duration – 3 years (initial contract appointment will be only for 1 year, which will be extended based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds)

Notes:

1. Date of interview 12th September 2022.
2. The appointment under the project shall be on a “contract basis” for a period of three months only.
3. The effective date for reckoning the requisite qualification, experience and the upper age limit will be 01.09.2022.
4. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for appearing in the interview.

Essential – Graduate in science/ technology from a recognized university with three years
of work experience from a recognised institution or master’s degree in science.

Desirable – Experience in molecular techniques.

Emoluments – As as per DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dt. 10.07.2020 – Rs.35, 000 + 8% HRA per month
