General Terms & Conditions –
- These are short-term positions and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed to these positions will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.
- All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized
Board/University. - The experience requirement specified shall be experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications required for the post.
- The age limit, qualification, experience and other requirements may be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority, in the case of candidates who are otherwise suitable. In case candidates are not found suitable for the posts notified, they can be offered lower post / lower emoluments on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
- Age and other relaxations for direct recruits and departmental candidates: 1. By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities. 2. By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities. 3. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) falling under the following categories: (i) UR – 10 years , ii) OBC – 13 years (iii) SC/ST – 15 years 4. Monthly emolument – Rs. 1,25,000/-
Minimum qualification and experience – MD or M.Tech or equivalent or PhD or
corresponding degree in any area of Life Sciences/ Medical Sciences from a recognized university with at least three years of post-qualification research experience in the relevant
field.
Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Field of Experience
Experience in:
- Utilization of metabolomics and lipidomics approaches in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
- Operation and troubleshooting of orbitrap LCMS instrument.
- Omics data analysis, building metabolite library, and the use of multivariate data analysis in
biomarker discovery is a must.
OR - Working with highly pathogenic viruses like MERS,
- SARS and SARS-Co2 at BSL3/ABSL3 facility.
- Establishing high containment facility for viruses,
- Preparing guidelines and SOPs for regulatory clearances.
- Multicentric study with industry partners and academic institutions for antiviral and vaccine
development. - Development and establishment of SARS-CoV-2 virus assays.
- IS/ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification for the General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
OR
Working on interphase of epidemiology and state of the art ‘omic’ platforms for complex
diseases including preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, young infant sepsis and linear growth. - Supervising data collection, coordinating between laboratory & clinical population groups. Conduct data analysis that integrates clinical and biological data from large studies

Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Field of Experience
Experience in:
- Molecular biology techniques like DNA extraction, PCR, cloning and sequencing.
- Biochemical methods like ELISA, protein purification, and western blotting would be preferred.
- Expertise in recombinant protein purification, biochemical and/or biophysical assays and molecular biology is required.
- Handling animals and microbiology techniques.
- Tissue culture work, RNA work, RTPCR etc

Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Field of Experience
- Senior Clinical Investigators are required for the first-in-human safety studies and to oversee the regulatory aspects of early-stage vaccine development which will be conducted in collaboration with THSTI partners.
- He/She will also work with the technical managers at the PMU to provide support for pre-clinical testing and clinical assay development.

PG Professional degree in Life Sciences with three years of post-qualification experience in the field of LCMS operation and handling in a reputed bioanalytical lab involved in DMPK studies.
Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Field of Experience
Candidate must have prior experience of
- 3 years on LCMS operation and handling including calibrations and day to day troubleshooting in a reputed bioanalytical lab.
- 2 years of providing bioanalytical support for pharmacokinetic and drug metabolism as well as drug distribution studies.
- Development, validation and qualification of HPLC and LCMS methods for new molecules as well as known drugs for qualitative and quantitative analysis. This includes but is not limited to analytical troubleshooting; data generation, compilation, report preparation; Lab notebook, record keeping; SOP writing.
- Processing biological samples such as plasma, serum, and tissues for drug quantification studies using HPLC and LCMS.

PG Professional degree in Life Sciences with three years of post-qualification experience in animal cell culture techniques, the establishment of assay such as ELISA, molecular assays and virus neutralization assays.
Desirable – Experience of working in GLP/NABL-accredited biomedical research laboratories or in a national/international research institute.
Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Field of Experience – The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Cell-culture-based assays, virus neutralization assays, molecular and serological assays.
- Validation of assays and performance of assays for, regulatory clearance of diagnostics
and vaccines.

Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Field of Experience –
- A strong background (and publication record) in molecular modelling, and structural bioinformatics.
- Research experience in the Molecular Dynamics Simulation and Computational drug discovery projects.
- Familiarity with molecular modelling and visualization packages (e.g. NAMD, AMBER,
Gromacs, Schrodinger, Cresset), good analytical and communication skills. - Good knowledge of organic chemistry.
- Coding or scripting experience (e.g. Python, PERL or C/C++) will be preferable.
