Eligible candidates are invited to attend a “Walk-in-Interview” for the post of Project Scientist-I in the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded project “Germplasm Genomics for trait discovery” at NBPGR, New Delhi. The details of the position are given below.

Terms & Conditions–

• Age relaxation as per government of India/ICAR rules.
• Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. before appearing for the interview
• Candidates having essential qualifications will only be considered for interviews.
• No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
• Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, selected candidates have no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR. The appointment may be terminated at any time without giving any notice or assigning any reason thereof even before completion of the project, for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
• The decision of the Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
• The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of the job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
• Candidates are required to bring the relevant certificates/ mark sheets etc in original along with an application with full bio-data enclosing photocopies of certificates and mark sheets from matriculation.

Emoluments per month– Rs 56000 plus 24 percent HRA

Essential Qualifications – Doctoral Degree in Bio-informatics/Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences
or
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Bio-informatics/ Biotechnology from a recognized University or equivalent

Desirable Qualifications –

1. Experience in analyses of high throughput SNP genotyping, re-sequencing and transcriptomics data.
2. Publications in high impact journals
