Applications are invited for filling the following contractual positions under the following projects –

1. DST-National Mission for Sustaining Himalayan Ecosystems (NMSHE)-TF-Agriculture project (up to March 2026)
2. National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) (up to March 2023, likely to be extended)
3. NASF Project entitled, “Developing precision nutrient management protocols for rice-wheat and rice-maize systems in Indo-Gangetic plains”) (up to March 2023)

How to Apply –

Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed Performa along with a self-attested scanned copy of the original documents to the AAO(Environment Science) e-mail [email protected] (contact no.- 011-25846359) latest by 21st May 2022.

After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be called by email for the online interview which is fixed tentatively from 27-28th May 2022. Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at a later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected.

Terms and Conditions –

1. Age limit – Maximum age 40 years for PPA, 35 years for SRF/PA, 35 years for YP-II &
   30 Years for YP-I (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for
   OBC).
2. The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis.
3. The selected candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute or any ICAR
   Institutes, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
4. The interview for eligible candidates will be held online, details of which will be communicated to eligible candidates by email.
5. Reporting time for the online interview will be communicated and all candidates shall
   adhere to the instructions.
6. The candidates will have to compulsorily fill the application form (as per the format
   annexed), all the self-attested scanned certificates from X class onwards, date of birth
   certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees certificate or
   provisional certificate and a recent photograph must be enclosed. Proof of experience
   and publications also need to be sent by email by 21st May 2022. The selected candidate will be required to produce all original documents and medical certificates at the time of joining.
7. Failure to submit of required documents as mentioned above along with the application will lead to rejection of the application and no further communication will be entertained on this matter.
8. No TA/DA/any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
9. Candidates will be solely responsible for making arrangements to attend the online
   interview. After the interview, no communication from candidates wrt interview will be
   entertained.
10. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the online
    interview.
11. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
12. The candidate intending to attend the online interview, if any of his near or distant
    relatives is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, has to declare his/her name, designation,
    nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach by the 21st May 2022. If on the date of the online interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed to appear in the interview or his candidature will be cancelled.
13. The Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi reserves the right to cancel/postpone the interview or cancel specific posts without assigning any reason thereof.
14. The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of the job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be entertained.
15. In case of any disputes, they will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the New Delhi court only.

For Post I

Emoluments – Rs.35000 Consolidated

Essential Qualifications – Master’s degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Environmental
Science or equivalent with first class or >7.5% OGPA ) from a recognized university/ institution.

Desirable – One or more years of experience in working with cyanobacteria, methane utilizing bacteria biofertilizer formulations, and field evaluation of biofertilizers.

For Post II

Emoluments – Rs.35000 Consolidated

Essential Qualifications – Master’s Degree in Microbiology/Agricultural Microbiology/
Biochemistry with first class or >7.5% OGPA from a recognized university/ institution.

Desirable – Experience in lab and fieldwork, data analysis and writing skills.
