Name of the Post – Translation Postdoctoral Scientist (2 positions) and Senior Translation Scientist (1 position) at Discovery to Innovation Accelerator (DIA), C-CAMP.

No. of Posts – 03 totally

Duration – The positions are on a contract basis and a consolidated salary, based on the merit (experience in similar work and qualifications) of the selected individuals will be offered.

Eligibility –

• PhD in any discipline of Life-sciences or Engineering (with inter-disciplinary work in life science).
• A strong track record of publications/patents.
• 0-2 years’ postdoctoral or industry experience for Translation Postdoctoral scientists and 3-5 years of Industrial experience for Senior Translation Scientists.
• Exceptional candidates who have submitted a thesis toward a grant of PhD will be considered for Translation Postdoctoral positions.
• Candidates with any National Level fellowship certificates (e.g.; CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF, GATE, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, etc) will be given preference.
• Candidates with experience in Healthcare and Agricultural applications are preferred.
• A demonstrable understanding of Intellectual- property management and commercialisation is desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities –

1. Designing and executing Translational research projects and protocols for different Discovery to Innovation Accelerator (DIA) projects.
   1. Perform experiments, and collect and analyse data.
   2. Maintain accurate record of all the experiments and provide ready access to all data to the reporting authority.
   3. Conduct literature reviews as per the requirement of the projects.
   4. Participate in project meetings, seminars, Laboratory meetings and other lab activities.
   5. Maintain confidentiality of the project, and workflow.
   6. Prepare a detailed progress report, presentation and other articles for reporting authority.
2. Collaborating and complementing a larger team of professionals, working on existing projects at DIA and other members at C-CAMP.
3. Travelling occasionally as per project requirements.
4.  Undertaking relevant training on additional techniques required for project execution and subsequently training the team.
