Applications for the post of Junior Project Fellow/Project Associate-I and Project Assistant for various DBT sponsored research projects are invited as per the particulars given below. The fellowship of the research proposal will be as per the O.M. No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019 and SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10 July, 2020 issued by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (as per DBT norms).

Duration – The appointment will be purely on a temporary/contractual basis and hence the Institute will not provide any employment after the completion of the project.

A soft copy of the applications along with the certificate should also be sent to the email address [email protected] by the due date. Applicants applying for two or more posts should apply separately. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.

All other terms and conditions of appointment will be governed by prevailing rules & regulations of the Institute and the decision of the Chairman of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.

Essential Qualification – M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Life sciences / relevant field
Desirable qualification – Research experience in a relevant field. Experience in molecular biology especially genomics area
For Post II
Essential Qualification – M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Life sciences / relevant field
Desirable qualification – Research experience in a relevant field. Experience in plant tissue culture and plant gene technology.
For Post III (a)
Essential Qualification – M.Sc. in Life Science/ Biotechnology/ relevant field
Desirable qualification – Research experience in a relevant field. Special in Entomology/molecular biology.
For Post III (b)
Essential Qualification – B.Sc. in Life Sciences/ relevant field
Desirable qualification – M.Sc. in the relevant subject. Experience in tea research.
For Post IV
Essential Qualification – M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Life sciences/
Desirable qualification – Research experience in a relevant field. Experience in molecular biology /mammalian cell culture.
