Rule 1: Improve your studies 37 Times In A year – 1% improvement per day.
This golden rule is a proven methodology as well. In the Famous book “Atomic Habits” James Clear states that If you improve your studies by 1% each day, you can do wonders. The improvements can be in any area. For eg: Change your study style, Change your notes making style, Experiment with your current study timetable & see what works best for you. In the end, the goal is to improve your study retention for that day by 1 %. Even if you want to Prepare For NEET In Short Time – Remember Nothing can be achieved overnight. You need consistency, practical strategies which you can religiously implement & Punctuality. If you want to get admission to India’s Top Medical Colleges like AIIMS, JIPMER, etc, you need to become a NEET Topper and for that, you need to bring in improvement in your study strategy.
Rule 2: Make A Smart Syllabus
Start with dividing your NEEY syllabus into 3 parts.
- Easy & Important Topics
- Important Topics But Tough For You
- Not so important Topics but it is easy for you.
Once you have the syllabus divided into the above categories, all you have to do is focus on the first 2 points alone – Easy & Important Topics + Important Topics But Tough For You. No need to touch on the 3rd point. A simple yet very effective strategy that will help you cover the NEET syllabus faster.
RULE 3: Prepare & Follow Smart Study Plan
If you think you can study 18 hours a day and qualify NEET, it’s a BIG LIE. In reality, What you need is efficiency. No matter how many hours of study you do, if your efficiency is less, then it’s of no use. The point is to study for fewer hours but study efficiently.
Now if you wake up at 6 am in the morning. Start studying from 7 am till 11 am. Take a break and restart studying from 2 pm to 5 pm. Take a break again, regular breaks of at least 45 mins are very important. Start at 7 pm and go on till 11 pm. So a total of 12 hours you can study in a day. Now identify your most efficient study slot for the whole day. For eg it is from 7 am to 11 am. In this time slot study Easy & Important Topics. Now once the momentum is built got to the next study slot. If at any point in time you feel you are not getting that flow & momentum to study, stop, take a break, do something you like the most, relax and then restart again. An important point to remember if you want to Prepare For NEET In Short Time.
RULE 4: Set Targets that don’t exhaust you
If you think you can complete any UNIT for eg – Living world in one day, then you are wrong, don’t do that. What you study in a day depends on your memory retention capacity. The trick is to identify your capacity. You can analyze whether your retention capacity is more in the morning study slots of the evening, and accordingly plan your study topics and set realistic targets. If you want to Prepare For NEET In a Short Time then Go step by step, don’t try to climb Burj khalifa in a day. Set smaller targets and keep achieving them one by one.
RULE 5: Build Basic Concepts First
The key to cracking any entrance exam is all about clearing your basics first. If you want to Prepare For NEET In Short Time and If your basics are clear, no matter how difficult & tricky the questions are you can answer them. If you build your foundation strong – which is NEET Basic Concepts half of the battle is won.

Rule 6: Concepts First – Practice Later
Many students are suggested to go through last year’s question papers, analyze the MCQs, Practice questions from there first, see what all questions are asked, and then study accordingly. This is the wrong method to study. Questions asked in NEET Exam are all concept-based and can be asked from any topic in the NEET syllabus in any form. Even if you have analyzed all previous year’s MCQs if your concepts are not clear, practicing questions from them will be of no use. NEET Exam is tough because the study journey after clearing NEET is tougher, hence NEET exam is set difficult to filter only minds whose concepts are strong. Follow this mantra always – Concepts First – Practice Comes Later.
RULE 7: Revise Daily.
Suppose you are following the study slot mentioned in Rule 3. Then,
- From 7 am to 11 am slot – you can Study Some Important concepts
- From 2 pm to 5 pm Slot – Revise those concepts
- In the 7 pm to 11 pm Slot – You can Start with a new topic.
The above slots are to just give you an example of how to include daily revisions in your study timetable. If your Revise & practice daily, then you can understand concepts better & your memory retention capacity will increase. In the NEET exam neither we nor your teacher nor your Youtube Guru will go and write the exam for you, in the NEET exam hall it’s only you and your brain who have to function efficiently, and for that revision is a must.
RULE 8: Use Pen & Paper
The world has gone digital, agreed. But our brain is always more comfortable with the old-style pen & paper method. It is scientifically proved that when you use two or more of your sense organs together your memory recall efficiency increases. Let pen & paper be your sword and NEET be the battle you need to win.
Your success in the exam is directly proportional to your recalling capacity.
Rule 9: Meditate daily.
Point no 9 in How to Prepare For NEET In Short Time is Meditation. Your mind is the most efficient yet dangerous tool in the world. It always keeps you revolving around past, present & future incidents whether good or bad. When you want to study in the present, your mind will create self-doubts that you could not study in the past. Or it will make you self-doubt your future study plans & goals. If you want to kill this elf doubt you need to meditate daily. Meditation will come to rescue you from your ever-stimulated brain and will help it calm down. A healthy mind can only reproduce good results. Meditate daily, control your mind, then no one can stop you from winning.
Your recalling capacity is directly proportional to your focus during your studies.
And this you can achieve via meditation daily.
