Name of the Project – “Development of a recombinant vaccine against the Hepatitis E
Virus (HE) and immunological characterization of Hepatitis E immune cohort and
potential vaccine recipient cohort”

Upper Age Limit – 28 years

Duration – The engagement in the project is purely on a contract basis maximum for the period of duration of the project. However, the appointment will initially be offered till 31st
August 2022 and may be renewed on yearly basis depending upon satisfactory
performance and co-terminus with the project.

address & phone number etc. and affixed with the latest photograph on it by 2:00 PM on or before 9th May 2022 in Room No. 608, 6th Floor, Research Block-A, PGIMER, Chandigarh and to appear with Original Certificates in Department of Virology, Room No. 628, 6th floor, research Block A, PGIMER, Chandigarh on the date to be informed in due course of time.

1. Candidate will be selected through interview. The selection committee reserves
   the right to shortlist the candidates based on a screening test, in case more
   candidates appear for the post. The candidates will be informed accordingly along with their eligibility.
2. The envelope/s should be labelled separately mentioning the post applied for.

Terms & Conditions –

1. It is the candidates’ responsibility to ascertain and ensure their eligibility as per the prescribed qualification and experience. If any declaration given or information furnished by him/her proves false or if he/she is found to have willfully suppressed any material or information, he/she will be liable for removal from the project. Even after qualifying the selection process the candidate may be rendered disqualified at the time of document verification if he/ she does not fulfil essential eligibility criteria.
2. Tenure – The assignments are purely on a contract basis for a period up to 31st August 2022 and may be renewed on yearly basis depending upon satisfactory performance and co-terminus with the project. The appointments will not vest any right to claim by the
   candidate for regular appointment or permanent absorption in PGIMER/DBT-BIRAC or
   continued contractual appointment.
3. Applications received in response to the advertisement will be scrutinized/ shortlisted and a list of eligible candidates will be displayed on the website. (www.pgimer.edu.in)
4. Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
5. The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing the same does not entitle any candidate for selection.
6. The appointment is full time and private practice of any type is prohibited.
7. He/She is expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the institute employees.
8. The decision of the competent authority regarding the selection of the candidate will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
9. Incomplete applications or applications not accompanied by the following documents will be summarily rejected. (Originals to be produced during the interview)
10. The Competent Authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice
11. Age relaxation for women/SC/ST/OBC non-Creamy/ persons with disabilities (PWD) will be given as per rules.
12. Interview/written examination will be held at PGIMER, Chandigarh which might change depending upon the COVID-19 pandemic situation and shall be intimated through the PGI website. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the same
13. All disputes will be subjected to the jurisdiction of the Court of Law at UT, Chandigarh.

Remunerations – As per DBT/BIRAC funding rules (Age relaxable in case of SC/ST/ OBC/PH/Women candidate as per rules)

Essential Qualification – M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Virology/ Biotechnology from a recognised University/Institute with National Eligibility Test clearance (CsIR-UGC NET, GATE, ICMR)

Desirable – Experience in basic molecular biology techniques and working experience
in handling biological materials and serological techniques.
