Name of the Post – Research Scientist-B (Non-Medical)

Name of the Project – “Preparing for Viral Pandemics: Strengthening lab network through hands-on training on Laboratory Quality Management Systems”
Duration – The above posts will be filled purely on a contract basis for a period of one year.
Age Limit – Up to 35 years

candidates should apply on the proforma attached as Annexure I along with a certificate of age, qualification, experience, complete in all respects on or before 18.04.2022 (Monday) by 3:00 PM positively in COVID-19 Testing Lab cum Depot, car Blood Donation Centre, under the ramp of Advance Trauma
Note: It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the applications are reached in a timely in the COVID-19 Testing Lab cum Depot. Applications received after the due date & time shall be summarily rejected. Department will not be responsible for any postal delay.
Terms & Conditions –
- The engagement of the individual in the post will be on a temporary basis for one year only & may be extended depending on the requirement of ICMR.
- The appointment can be terminated with one-month notice from either side without assigning any reason.
- Since the post is purely temporary, the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under PGIMER, Chandigarh.
- Benefits of provided funds, HRA, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. are not applicable.
- Age relaxation is for SC. ST & OBC candidates as per Govt. Rules.
- The experience will be counted only after the completion of essential educational qualifications. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee selection for the written test/ interview call and/or selection.
- Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department/ Organisation are not eligible to apply.
- The eligibility list and the date of the interview will be uploaded on PGI Website on or before 24.04.2022 (Sunday).
- The interview will be held at PG IMER, Chandigarh. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the same. The date & time of the interview will be uploaded to PGIMER, the Chandigarh website. No individual intimation will be given for the interview. Candidates are advised to check the institute website regularly.
- The interview will be held in person ONLY. The online mode of the interview will not be conducted.
Essential Qualifications –
First Class Post Graduate degree in life sciences from a recognized University with 2 years of experience in related fields (Microbiology/ Virology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics).
OR
Second Class Postgraduate with Pb.D degree in relevant subjects from a recognized University with one year of experience (Microbiology/ Virology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics).
Wherever the PG/Ph.D is not awarded with the subjects mentioned above, the screening committee will decide whether the degree of the applicant will meet the requirement of the subjects mentioned in the advertisement.
Emoluments per month – Rs . 48,000 + HRA as per
