Applications are invited for one post of Research Assistant and one post of technician in an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project titled “To evaluate the operational feasibility and performance to TB Detect and TB Concentration & TB DNA Extraction kits in field setting under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program” This post is purely on contract basis.

Terms & Conditions –
- This engagement is purely contractual and co-terminable with the project.
- The engagement will be for a period of six months initially only. It can be extended only based on the satisfactory performance of the candidate. The extension would be 6 months till the project ends ( 3 years) whichever is earlier than the date of joining.
- The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointments.
- In case of unsatisfactory performance of the candidate, the contract can be terminated by the Institute at any time by giving one month’s notice period or immediately by paying one month’s remuneration in lieu of the notice period
- The candidate will be required to work full-time on the project
- Details of admissible leaves during the contract period, only two and half casual leaves admissible per month, no other kind of leave will be admissible including maternity leave, earned leave, medical leave, study leave etc.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee selection.
- Residential accommodation on the institute campus will not be provided.
- No HRA will be paid
- All COVID precautions are to be observed strictly. Any candidate found not following the COVID-19 precautions will be debarred from the Interview.

The candidate must appear for an interview along with Bio-Data, self-attested copies of educational qualifications & experience certificates and 2 passport size photographs. The candidates are also required to bring original certificates and testimonials for verification at the time of the interview.
- Reporting Date & Time – 2nd May 2022 at 9 AM AM outside the auditorium.
- Interview Date & Time – 2nd May 2022 at 10:00 AM, in Auditorium
Emoluments – Consolidated Rs. 31000/- per month.
Essential Qualification – Graduate in Microbiology/ BSc-MLT/Biotechnology from a recognized university with 3years of work experience from a recognized institution in Microbiology Laboratory, including sample processing and culture procedures
OR
Master’s degree in Microbiology/ MSc-MLT/ Bio-technology
Desirable Qualification – Experience in TB sample processing and culture methods, DNA extraction for TB, Computer knowledge with MS office
