DETAILS OF THE POSITIONS AND ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Post I
Name of the Post – Bioethics Officer
No. of Posts – 01
Minimum Qualifications – M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences or B.Tech. Biotechnology (CGPA 8 or above), with a course paper or certification in BioEthics.
Desired Qualification / Preference – Relevant work experience/certification with good writing skills.
Post II
Name of the Post – Patent Drafting Assistant
No. of Posts – 01
Minimum Qualifications – Master’s in Life Sciences or B.Tech Biotechnology (CGPA 8 or above) with good writing skills.
Desired Qualification / Preference – Patent drafting experience or prior employment in the field.
Post III
Name of the Post – Biosafety Officer
No. of Posts – 01
Minimum Qualifications – M.Sc. Life Sciences / B.Tech Biotechnology (CGPA 8 or above in
B.Tech) with prior exposure in the course as a paper/certification.
Desired Qualification / Preference – Work experience / certification on Biosafety.
Post IV
Name of the Post – Bio-safety III Technician
No. of Posts – 01
Minimum Qualifications – M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences / B.Tech. in Biotechnology (CGPA 8 or above in the B.Tech)
Desired Qualification / Preference – Work experience / certification in class II and III facility
Conditions Applicable to all positions –
- Reservation Norms of Govt. of Tamil Nadu for the total number of positions would be
followed. - Minimum marks in PG degree 55% (for SC/ST candidates 50%)
- Application Fee Rs.500/-. and Rs. 250 for SC/ST candidates.
- Selection of the shortlisted candidates would be based on a Screening Test or and
Interview to be held at Madurai Kamaraj University.
How to Apply –
The Application form can be downloaded from the University website www.mkuniversity.ac.in. Filled in Application (3 sets) along with self-attested copies (3 sets) of the following required particulars should be submitted.
- Age Proof page to be enclosed.
- The Candidate should submit the Community Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
- The candidates should produce a Service and No Objection Certificate obtained from the
Employer at the time of the interview, if employed. - Send the Hard Copy Application (3 sets) with enclosures to RUSA Coordinator, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai 625021, on or before April 20th 2022.
Other Instructions –
- Applicants should be prepared to come for an interview at Madurai Kamaraj University at
their own cost. - Applicants who attempt to canvas or influence their candidature in any manner will be
disqualified. Inquires made over the telephone or in-person will not be entertained - The selection procedure will be as per the decision of the authorities of Madurai Kamaraj
University. - The selected candidates will be required to join duty immediately.
- The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill up the post without assigning any
reason whatsoever - The University will not be responsible for any delay in receipt of the application on or
before the last date.
