Interested and eligible candidates are requested to apply for the posts of Project Associate -1 in the project entitled BIC-IIITA: “To create a state-of-art facility for big data analytics of large scale genomics and proteomics data – BIC at Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad” at the Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad, Deoghat, Jhalwa, Prayagraj-211015, U. P. India.

Duration – Initially up to one year, this may be extended for a further period(s) up to 5 years based on the satisfactory performance of the individual and availability of funding.

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need to apply. Selection of suitable applicants will be made based on qualifications and also performance in the personal interview scheduled on 25th May 2022.

General Instructions –
- The above posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- The upper age limit is 35 as of the date of the interview. The age limit may be relaxed as per the Government of India rules and regulations).
- Applicants in employment (private, government or any other organization) are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of the interview.
- The offer of appointment to the candidates will be purely on a contractual basis for up to one year initially and it may be extended for a further period(s) based on further project extension and satisfactory performance of the candidate.
- The selected candidates need to join immediately or at a short notice of 15 days.
- No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for appearing for the interview.
- The Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad reserves the right to selection or rejection of any candidature, postponement/cancellation of the walk-in-interview.
- Candidates should send an electronic copy (signed and scanned) of their duly filled-in application form by email to [email protected] mentioning ‘BIC at IIITA’ in the subject line ON or BEFORE 23rd May 2022.
- The same applications in hardcopy with a photograph, as well as attested copies of credentials and experience should be produced during the interview i.e. on 25-05-2022.
- Incomplete application forms/applications with misrepresented facts will not be considered.

Essential Qualifications – M.Sc in Life Science / Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ MVSc or equivalent.

Bachelor Degree in Medicine
OR
B. Tech in Engineering and Technology
Desirable Qualification for Project Associate -1 –
- The candidate should have demonstrable programming skills in a scripting language(s) such as Perl/Python/R.
- Candidates with working experience in NoSQL/ Hadoop/ Spark and Scala will be preferred.
