IISER-Mohali (Department of Biological Sciences) desires to engage an SRF on a purely temporary basis on contract under the DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance funded project at IISER-Mohali.

Duration – Initially for 1 year and extendable for 1 more year.
Age – Should not be more than 35 years.

Emoluments – Rs. 35,000-/- + HRA (as applicable).
Essential Qualifications – Masters in any branch of Life Sciences with first division or equivalent CGPA and the candidates should have qualified National Eligibility Test /or GATE or any other equivalent national level exams. A minimum of 1-2 years of research experience working with C. elegans and microbes will be given preference. Master’s degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Must be qualified with CSIR NET-JRF/LS, UGC-JRF/LS, or GATE (Biology/Biotechnology) (with a valid score); Must have a minimum of two years of research experience at the JRF position. Prior work experience in performing confocal microscopy and live-cell imaging experiments using mammalian cells is essential. Further, the candidate should be well versed with all of the following techniques: image analysis, cell culture, protein-protein interaction assays, cloning, recombinant protein production, and yeast-two hybrid assay.
