Duration – The engagement will be originally for six months, which may be extended or curtailed depending upon the period of the tenure of the sponsored project as well as/ or performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be totally short-term and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary

or otherwise, as well as shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any type of CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear before the Selection Committee for an
interview in Room No 210, Main Building, CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune 411008. Shortlisted candidate will be informed via email on or before 25/04/2022.

The interview will be conducted on 28/04/2022 from 10:00 am onward.

No interview call letter will certainly be issued separately.
No TA/DA will certainly be admissible for appearing for the interview. Chosen applicants will need to sign up with duty immediately on receipt of the offer of engagement.

Emoluments –

1. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship(Assistant Professorship) or GATE
   or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
2. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not

Qualifications –

• Essential – Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology or equivalent
  with minimum 55% marks.
• Desirable experience if any – Molecular biology, Bioinformatics and metabolic
  engineering.

Job requirement – Genome and transcriptome analysis, cloning and functional characterization of genes, product ratio studies and metabolic engineering.
