Duration of Project – 24 Months (Subject to performance review after every 6 months)
Upper Age Limit – 50 years.
Minimum/ Essential Qualification – B. Sc. / 3-years Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
Preferred Qualifications –
- Qualified GAT-B/BET/ICMR-JRF/NET/GATE in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or any national level exam in relevant disciplines.
- Completed Masters or Bachelors (4-year professional degree, min. 18 credits of research) in Virology/Microbiology/Biotechnology or relevant Life Sciences disciplines.
- Research experience in subject of bacteriophages/anti-microbial resistance/medically relevant biofilms and basic exposure to bio-statistics.
Job Description –
- Applying basic Bacteriophage isolation and screening methods, basic/advanced microbiology tools and techniques to complete the project.
- Responsibilities: Maintaining project records in timely manner (experimental/ administrative), experimental data collection, statistical analysis, weekly lab presentations, timely and prudent utilization of project resources, attending workshops for upskilling and scientific meetings for dissemination of research work, preparing drafts of scientific manuscripts.
- The candidate selected as Project Assistant will be permitted to register for Ph.D. programme as per Tripura University Ph. D. regulations 2016 subject to revisions as per University/UGC amendments from time to time.
Emoluments – Rs. 21,600/month (Consolidated)

The screening of candidate will be done as per minimum/essential and preference will be given to candidates fulfilling the preferred qualifications. The screened candidates will be informed about the interview on 5th April and the date of interview will be 22/04/2022.
No TA/DA shall be given to candidates for attending the interview. In case the screened candidate is unable to attend the interview online due to genuine reason, the candidate will be interviewed online.
