Online Applications are invited on or before 11th April 2022 for the following vacancy under the Non-Institutional ad-hoc project to be filled at Spectrum Clinic & Endoscopy Research Center, Kolkata, West Bengal. Place of Posting

– Spectrum Clinic & Endoscopy Research Center, Shakespeare Sarami, Kolkata, West Bengal (under Dr. Pramathes DasMahapatra, Collaborator ECGRI study)

Duration – One year (To be extended on yearly basis for 2 years)

Age Limit – 30 years

Application Instructions –

1. Age relaxation for SC/ST /OBC/PWD Candidates will be as per the government rules.
2. Qualification/degree ought to be from a reputable Institution/University.
3. Mere fulfilling the crucial qualification/experience doesn’t guarantee choice.
4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
5. No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.
6. Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organization are not eligible.
7. Written tests in the subject area will be held, if required, to shortlist candidates for the interview on the same day depending upon the number of candidates.
8. The Director & appointing authority has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
9. Please give the details of two responsible persons of your locality or two references to whom you are known.
10. Candidates are unable to come to walk-in-interview so they can join online interviews on the Webex video call app at a scheduled time. Bad connection/ connection failure from any side will not be the responsibility of ICMR-NIRRH, Mumbai.
11. Candidates who will be interviewed online, if they are selected, will have to produce original documents of their Qualifications, Age & Experience before joining. If they are not found entitled, their selection will be cancelled immediately.
12. Due to the lockdown, travel barriers and urgency of shouldering the workload, preference will be given to regional/local candidates so as to join immediately.

Stipend – Rs. 20, 000 + HRA

Essential Qualification – Graduate in biological from a recognized university with three
years of work experience from a recognized institution
or
Master’s degree in biological sciences.

Desirable Qualifications –

• One year of research experience from a reputed institute/university.
• Experience in counselling patients, working experience in Hospital/Clinic.
• Proficiency in internet applications & communication skills.
• Experience in molecular biology techniques will be preferred.
• Candidates residing in Kolkata and nearby areas will be given preference.

Job Responsibilities –

1. To assist the Collaborator in the preparation of all necessary documents required for the Ethics Committee, progress reports etc. under the supervision of the Collaborator at the participating study site.
2. Coordination of project activities and implementation of the project at participating study
   site.
3. To assist the Collaborator in the recruitment of study participants, data collection, data entry, quality control etc.
4. To conduct the experimental work of the study including blood separation, labelling and
   monitoring of the storage of clinical samples.
5. To assist collaborator for timely transportation of copies of data collection instruments, timely entry of data into electronic database and transportation of samples to ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai by a designated courier company.
6. Participate in video/telephone meetings with PI, Collaborators abroad and the Research team at all participating study sites to review the progress and ensure adherence to protocol.
7. To provide regular compliance to the Research Team at the PI laboratory at ICMR-NIRRH for maintaining the centralized clinical and genomic database at ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai.
8. To assist in any other works related to the project or other scientific/technical activities.
