RECRUITMENT OF FOUR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) POSITION THROUGH
WALK- IN – INTERVIEW TO BE HELD ON 25/04/2022

The institute is recruiting four (04) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under each of the four (04) CSB funded projects through walk-in-interview to be held on 25/04/2022. The eligible candidates are advised to appear for the interview on the said date. The details of the projects are as follows:

Post I

Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow

No. of Posts – 01

Name of the Project – Biological and molecular characterization of virosis in Muga silkworm, (Antheraea assamensis Helfer) (CO code: ARP08007MI)

Duration of the project – 03 years

Age Limit – 35 years as of 01/04/2022 (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, women

& physically challenged candidates).

Post II

Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow

No. of Posts – 01

Name of the Project – Profiling of lipid, protein and carbohydrate of mulberry mealybug Maconellicoccus hirsutus (Green) (CO code: AIC08009CN)

Duration of the project – 03 years

Age Limit – 35 years as of 01/04/2022 (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, women & physically challenged candidates).

Post III

Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow

Name of the Project – Development and Evaluation of Eri silkworm (Samia ricini

Post IV

Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow

No. of Posts – 01

Name of the Project – Transcriptome studies for susceptibility of Muga Silkworm (Antheraea assamensis) to diseases. (CO code: AIT08010M) 

Duration of the project – 04 years

Age Limit – 35 years as of 01/04/2022 (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, women & physically challenged candidates).

How to Apply–

• Eligible candidates may appear for the interview at the below mentioned time & venue. The candidate is also advised to produce a passport size photograph along with one photocopy each of all the educational certificates and mark sheets (SSLC, PUC/ HSC, B. Sc and M. Sc), birth certificate, NOC from the present employer if employed, research experience certificate, and caste certificate for SC/ST candidates.
• Candidates with provisional degree certificates are also eligible to attend the interview providing photocopies of all the mark sheets are produced at the time of the interview.
• Originals of all the supportive documents mentioned above should be presented for verification purposes.

Important points –

1. Walk-in-Interview starts at 9.30 AM on 25.04.2022.
2. Eligible candidates may appear for an interview at the following venue:
   Seri Biotech Research Laboratory, Carmelaram post, Kodathi, Bangalore-560035 (Land mark: Near Harvest International School approximately 2.5 KM from Kodathi gate bus stop on Sarjapur Road)
3. Applications will NOT be accepted by post/ e-mail/ courier.
4. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
5. The above-mentioned position is purely temporary, on a contractual basis and is co-terminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
6. Canvassing in any form will lead to the cancellation of candidature.
7. The decision of the Director shall be final and binding in all respects.
8. The candidate attending the said interview must strictly adhere to the precautionary measures implemented by the Govt. of India for the containment of COVID-19 in the country.
9. All the candidates will undergo thermal screening before the interview
10. The candidates are advised to maintain social distancing, use face mask and sanitizers without fail.

For Post I

Emoluments – Junior research fellow (JRF with NET/GATE) @Rs.31000/- per month + admissible HRA; for non-NET candidates @Rs.21000/- per month + admissible HRA.

Essential Qualification – M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Molecular Genetics/ Microbiology/ Life Sciences with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Desirable – Experience in virology will be preferred.

For Post II

Emoluments – Junior research fellow (JRF with NET/GATE) @Rs.31000/- per month + admissible HRA; for non-NET candidates @Rs.21000/- per month + admissible HRA.

Essential Qualification – M.Sc. in Entomology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Molecular
Biology/ Genetics/ Molecular Genetics/Microbiology/Life Sciences with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Desirable – Experience in entomology will be preferred.

For Post III

Emoluments – Junior research fellow (JRF with NET/GATE) @Rs.31000/- per month + admissible HRA; for non-NET candidates @Rs.21000/- per month + admissible HRA.

Essential Qualification – M.Sc. in Sericulture/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Molecular
Biology/ Genetics/ Molecular Genetics/Microbiology/Life Sciences with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Desirable – Experience in silkworm rearing will be preferred.

For Post IV

Emoluments – Junior research fellow (JRF with NET/GATE) @Rs.31000/- per month + admissible HRA; for non-NET candidates @Rs.21000/- per month + admissible HRA.

Essential Qualification – M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Molecular
Biology/ Genetics/ Molecular Genetics/Microbiology/Life Sciences with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Desirable – Experience in bioinformatics will be preferred.
