How to Apply –

1. Eligible candidates are required to apply ONLINE by visiting the CSIR-CCMB website. No
   another mode of application will be entertained.
2. The Online application will be available on the CSIR-CCMB website
   https://www.ccmb.res.in [opens on 21.03.2022 from 11:00 A.M. and closes on
   11.04.2022 at 11:59 P.M.]
3. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions (available on the CSIR-CCMB recruitment portal) for filling up online applications carefully.
4. Interested candidates are advised to apply in time to avoid the last-minute rush.
5. Candidates applying for more than one postcode must submit separate applications
   indicating the postcode of the post in the application form. Each application should be
   accompanied by a separate SB Collect payment receipt.
6. For submission of online applications, the candidates are required to pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupee ONE Hundred only) through State Bank Collect
   only. The transaction number generated after successful payment of the fee is required to be mentioned in the online application. The candidates are advised to download the
   E-receipt (SB Collect receipt) and preserve it for future communication.
7. Fee once paid will not be refunded on any account and it will not be reserved for any
   other recruitment or selection process. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/ Women/ CSIR Employees are exempted from payment of the application fee.
8. The last date for submission of the online application is 11.04.2022. This date will be the same for the candidates belonging to far-flung areas.
9. In the case of universities/institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., candidates
   are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their
   university/institute and mention the percentage so arrived at the appropriate place in
   the online application form, while filling the same.
10. After completely filling out the online application form candidate can submit and take
    a printout of the online generated filled application for future communication. There is no need to submit a hard copy of the application.
11. Application once made will not be allowed to withdraw and fees once paid will not be
    refunded on any account nor can they be held in reserve for any other recruitment or
    selection process.
12. Applications from the regular employees working in CSIR laboratories/Institutes, Government Departments, Autonomous bodies, Public Sector Undertakings and Government Funded Research Agencies will be considered only if the NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE & VIGILANCE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE issued by the present employer is uploaded in the online application portal.
13. Candidates should specifically note that the applications received after the closing date
    for any reason whatsoever will not be entertained by CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad.
14. Incomplete applications (i.e. without uploading a photograph, signature, non-payment of
    application fee (wherever applicable), without uploading applicable testimonials etc.) will
    not be entertained and are liable to be summarily rejected.
15. The candidates are required to verify all the fields in the online application form to
    ensure that the application is complete and correct in all respects before submitting the
    same. It must be ensured that the photograph and signature are appended in the
    respective fields of the online application.

Essential Qualification (s) and Experience – M.Sc./B.E/B.Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology with a minimum of 55% marks and 5 years of experience.

Desirable Qualification(s) – More than 5 years of experience in a high throughput sequencing lab, with experience in various library preparation techniques including whole genomes, exomes, targeted clinical panels, whole transcriptomes and in handling NGS machines from vendors like Illumina, Thermofisher, MGI, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore Technologies etc.

Job Specification – The selected candidate shall contribute to the ongoing work at the NGS facility of CCMB. Their main responsibilities include sample QC, library preparation and operation of various NGS platforms. The candidate is expected to assist in the management
of the NGS facility and ensure the provision of quality services within the expected turnaround times. Any other work may be allotted as per the requirements of the facility.
