Applications are invited for the following vacant posts purely on a contract basis at the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an Autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ghaziabad, through Manpower Resource Outsourcing Services Providing Agency.

Name of the Post – Pharmacopoeial Scientist (Microbiology Division)

No. of Posts – 01

Place of Posting – Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad

Period of engagement – The tenure of the contract will be for a period of one year. However, in case the work and conduct of the staff are not found to be satisfactory during the contract tenure, the services may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof.

Salary – Rs.50,000/- PM

Qualification –

1. PhD in Microbiology/Molecular Biology/ Genomic/Biotechnology with work related to Microbial cultures, use & handling of modern analytical instruments such as Gene sequencing, PCR/Gel Electrophoresis & Gel Documentation etc.
2. Good Knowledge of computers.
   OR

(i) Master’s degree in Microbiology/Molecular Biology/ Genomics/ Biotechnology.
(ii) With a Minimum of 3 years experience on Microbial Cultures after PG, use & handling of
modem analytical instruments such as Gene sequencing, PCR/Gel Electrophoresis & Gel
Documentation etc.
(iii) Good Knowledge of computers.

Job Description –

1. Isolation, development, Identification, Characterization and storage of Microbial Cultures.
2. Phenotypic, Genotypic sequencing of Microbial Cultures and conducting research in this field.
3. Any other work assigned by Competent Authority from time to time.
