ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF RESEARCH ASSOCIATE AT CRI ACTREC
Transmission Electron Microscopy Facility at ACTREC is looking for a highly motivated,
talented Research Associate to join the Electron Microscopy Facility. The applicant must be
an Indian citizen must have obtained a PhD degree in Life Sciences or Physics from a
recognized University. The initial appointment is for a year that may be extended based on the performance of the candidate.
The EM Facility provides state-of-the-art electron microscopy support for analysis of a wide
variety of biological samples, including human tissues, animal tissues, cultured cells, isolated cellular components, viruses, bacteria, nano-gold particles, etc. for ultrastructural analyses or immuno-electron microscopy.

be accompanied “by a Statement of Purpose which explains net skills, knowledge and suitability for the job (Appendix-1 ).Candidates fulfilling these requirements should pre-register by sending their application in the prescribed format (Appendix-2) with a recent CV with a statement of purpose, soft copy of key publications and contact details of TWO referees by e-mail to ‘[email protected]‘ latest by 5:45 pm on or before Tuesday, 23rd November 2021.
The interview dates & venue will be informed by email to the shortlisted candidates only.
No T.A. /D.A. is admissible for attending the interview in person. If needed, candidates have to make their own arrangements for accommodation/ stay in Navi Mumbai. Due to the pandemic, interviews will also be conducted online.
At the time of the Interview, candidates should bring original certificates with photocopies (attested), CV and a recent passport size photograph. The recommendation letters should reach us at the time of application.

Consolidated Salary – Rs. 58,280/- pm (Rs. 47000/- + 24% HRA) p.m.
Minimum Qualification – PhD degree in Life Sciences.
Experience – Must have a minimum of two years of post-PhD degree with hands-on experience in electron microscopy including complete knowledge of instrument operation, maintenance, biological sample preparation, ultramicrotomy, immunoelectron microscopy, negative staining, human and animal pathology, data analysis, and interpretation.
Additional Qualities – The candidate should be able to work as part of a team and support and groom the staff working in the facility. The candidate should have interpersonal skills, a good work ethic, and maintain a healthy environment and ensure high quality and efficient service to faculty.
