About the Project – The Aich Lab (https://www.niser.ac.in/users/palokaich) focuses on understanding the role of the intestinal microbiome on the gut-adipocyte-brain axis. The lab’s main objective is to correlate and establish the mechanism of host physiology in terms of metabolism and immunity as a function of commensal microbiota.

Age – 35 years as on date of interview, age relaxation to entitled categories as per rules.

Duration – The above position is purely temporary for a period of three years or completion of project whichever is earlier and strictly co-terminus with the project. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim, implicit, or explicit for consideration

Monthly Emoluments –

1. Rs. 31,000/- pm plus HRA as per rules (with CSIR-UGC-NET including Lectureship or GATE or a selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Govt. departments and their agencies or Institutions)
   Or
2. Rs. 25,000/- pm plus HRA as per rules for those not fulfilling criteria as laid down
   above in section (1).

Qualifications –

• Interested applicants should have a Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences of MVSc or a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent institute.
• The candidate should have a sound background in bioinformatics (with knowledge in AI-ML, python, R-packages, and CSS) with an interest in microbiology, immunology, and/or neurobiology.
• People with experience and interest in these areas with a strong desire for innovative research are preferred.
• You should be willing to crunch a lot of data and generate meaningful outcomes
  quickly. We will fill the position immediately.
