Interview for the temporary Positions of Research Associate-I, Senior Research Fellow, Project Fellow, Field Worker.
NABI requires following research personnel purely on a temporary basis.
Post I
Name of the Post – Senior Research Fellow
No. of Posts – 01
Name of the Project – Towards improving abiotic stress tolerance in crop plants.
Name of the PI – Prof. Ashwani Pareek, Executive Director.
Duration – Initially for a period of one year, further continuation will be based on annual satisfactory assessment.
Post II
Name of the Post – Project Fellow
No. of Posts – 02
Name of the Project – Improvement in silicon uptake, fruit ripening, and yield by targeting multiple
genes (SINIP2-1, SIAP2a, SP5G and PL) with CRISPR/CAS9 approach in tomato”Name of the PI – Dr Rupesh Deshmukh, Ramalingaswami Fellow.
Age Limit – 28 Years as on date of interview. (Relaxation is as per GOI Instructions)
Duration – Your appointment is a co-terminus with the project along with the availability of funds. It will not exceed beyond the project.

Kindly note the following important points –
- Kindly do not send the hard copy of the application form.
- Incomplete application forms and applications that are not in proper format may be
summarily rejected. - The applications should be submitted strictly as per the prescribed format that can be
downloaded from the NABI website. - Kindly send a complete filled application form (Single adobe pdf file) through email only.
- Candidates applying for more than one position can give their preference in the same
application by ticking multiple positions. No need to submit a separate application form for each position. - Kindly do not send any documents with the application form. Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted on the basis of information given in the application form. All the documents related to eligibility i.e. Age, educational qualification, Experience etc (in-original) will be verified at a later stage before issuing an offer/award letter.
- No application form will be accepted after the due date i.e. 06th November 2021.
- Eligible candidates will be informed via email of the interview schedule.
- Candidates should ensure that information mentioned in the application form is accurate.
Once the application form is submitted no further request regarding any changes/
information in the application form will be considered. - Eligible candidates will be interviewed through video conferencing mode by duly

For Post I
Emoluments – 35,000/- PM Plus HRA
Essential Qualifications –
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate /Post Graduate Degree in professional
course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
(a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC-NET including
Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE
(b) The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by central
government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
The qualification prescribed above with two years of research experience.
Desired Experience – Working knowledge with molecular biology, especially in genome editing tools with good research publications in reputed journals. Knowledge of crop breeding tools will also be appreciated.
For Post II
Emoluments – Rs. 12000/- per month plus HRA as applicable in Mohali.
Essential Qualifications –
M.Tech/M.Sc. in Biotechnology or equivalent degree in Life Sciences or B. Tech in
Biotechnology or B.Sc. in Agricultural Biotechnology with a minimum of 55% marks.
