The BNHS-India, a premier environmental organization engaged in conservation of nature, research in natural history/wildlife, requires an Information Officer for its Environmental Information System (ENVIS) Resource Partner on Avian Ecology.
Name of the Post – Conservation Biologist
No. of Posts – 01
Name of the Project – ‘Vulture Safe Zone’
Age limit – The candidate should not be more than 32 years of age on the date of application.
Duration – Initially for one year. The contract could be renewed if the performance of the candidate is found satisfactory.

Desirables –
- The candidates should be post-graduate in any of the mentioned disciplines – Zoology, Botany, Life Sciences, Wildlife Biology, Conservation Biology, Wildlife Science or any related field.
- Candidates pursuing their PhD will not be considered
- The candidate preferably should have a driving license for two and four-wheelers.
Job profile –
- Monitoring wild vulture populations
- Estimating food availability and habitat for vultures
- Monitoring prevalence of veterinary drugs in pharmacies and cattle carcasses
- Carrying out advocacy programmes for vulture conservation with decision and policymakers and awareness programmes with local communities and other stakeholders.
The work will involve extensive travelling.
