Title of Project: “Multi-stage malaria vaccine candidates for the prevention of
Plasmodium falciparum infection in mosquito and pre-erythrocytic development in man” funded by BIRAC.

Conditions:

1. The applicants chosen for the above posts will certainly be on contract for one year or
   period of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Candidates may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/ PH as well as attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will certainly be paid for attending the interview if called for.
5. Apart from sending applications in the prescribed format given below, candidates
   should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees.
   Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise.
6. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email about the date and time of
   
   Interviews. Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be held through online video conferencing tools.

Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per DST OM dated 30.01.2019 (As sanctioned by the funding agency):

RA-III: Rs. 54,000/- pm + 24 percent HRA.

Educational Qualification:

• Research associate-III: Ph.D. in any branch of Biology/Life Science, minimum three years of research experience post Ph.D.and 5 research publications in international journals. Demonstrated ability to handle large projects or independent funding/ fellowship. Hands-on experience in animal handling is a must. Persons with expertise in immunological assays or vaccine-related work will be preferred.

Job Description:

RA-III: Mouse Immunization, Characterization of immune responses. FACS, ELISA, ELISPOT, sporozoite neutralization assays. Mouse challenge with malaria parasites. Parasite load determination by qPCR. Mouse challenge with transgenic malaria parasites. To ensure timely completion of research objectives. Coordination among the SRFs work, data collection, analysis and compilation, Report preparation, Reporting of project progress with PI and other project partners
