Inviting applications for engagement of Research Associate on Contract Basis at
IIP Mumbai to work under R&D Projects
Name of the Post: Research Associate
Duration: The selected candidates will be engaged on a contract basis through a manpower supply agency appointed by IIP. The contractual engagement will be purely temporary and time-bound.
Age Limit for as on date of Interview: 40 years for men and 45 years for women
How to Apply:
- The above posts are purely temporary and the candidate will not have any right for absorption in IIP for any posts. Tenure will be initially for a period of one year and may be renewable every six months based on satisfactory performance or as per requirement.
- Candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria are advised to submit an application in
the prescribed format in a sealed envelope along with copies of all relevant
testimonials/certificates/mark sheets/grade cards, OBC/SC/ST/PH certificates, details of
educational, technical & professional quaJificat.ion. Copies of work experience certificates, research work papers, publications, brief write up supporting (he candidature/suitability for the desired contractual post, email addresses and contact numbers of a minimum of two referees addressed to Assistant Director (General Admin. & (T), Indian Institute of Packaging, Plot E2, Road No.8, MIDC Area, Andheri (East), Mumbai – 400093 on or before 16th August 2021. - The contractual appointment may be extended or terminated on the basis of performance, the conduct of the appointee, requirement and duration of the sponsored project.
- No objection certificate from the employer in case he/she is employed elsewhere.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
- Based on the number of applicants, the selection will be based on a short duration written examination along with or direct personal interview.
- The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding in all aspects.
- The selected candidate will be informed through lctter/e-mail. Those who have not been selected will not be informed.
- No separate interview letter will be issued.
- Communication will only be sent to shortlisted candidates and no other communication in this regard will be entertained.
- The engagement shall be terminated or discontinued by giving 30-day notice in advance by either party.
- The selected candidate has to confirm and accept his/her appointment within tlu·ee days of receipt of the appointment letter issued by the manpower agency.
- The appointed candidate has to join the duty within 15 days from the date of acceptance of the offer letter by him/her.
Essential Qualification: PhD preferably with one or two years of research/ teaching
experience in Food Process Engineering / Food Science and Technology / Food Science & Nutrition / Biotechnology/ Microbiology or equivalent.
*Note: NET qualification is preferable for the stream where it is applicable.
Desirable: Training/Hands-on experience in Testing & Characterization (GCMS, HPLC, DSC,
XRD, FTIR etc.). Published research papers/patents.
Consolidated Monthly Remuneration for Research Associate: Rs. 45,000/- Consolidated (including HRA)
