Vacancy: One Position
Project Title: ”Elucidation of the functional interactome of legumes with the fungal
pathogen Erysiphe pisi as keys to powdery mildew disease resistance”. (The Project
involves extensive protein purification, biochemical and biophysical characterization and
structural studies).
Principal Investigator (PI): Dr Divya Chandran, Associate Professor;
Co-PI: Dr Deepti Jain, Associate Professor (The position will be in Dr Deepti’s laboratory).
Period for RCB Vacancy: Originally for one year, extendable on an annual evaluation.
Age Limit: 37 Years

Essential Qualifications: PhD in Life Sciences. Minimum 60% marks in Masters or
equivalent degree. Demonstrated experience (Substantiated by first author publication).
in protein purification, crystallization and also protein structure determination.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in molecular biology techniques, biochemical and also biophysical techniques, excellent oral and written communication abilities as well as ability to work independently are favoured.
Emoluments: Rs. 47,000/- plus 16 percent HRA monthly.
