How to Apply:

Interested candidates, who fulfil all essential qualifications, can attend the Walk-in-Interview at SACON Campus on 04-March-2021. Candidates should report to the venue at 09.00 AM on the date of interview for registration and should submit duly filled-in application forms with recent passport-size photograph affixed, along with self-attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications, research experience, date of birth, community, extracurricular activities etc. All original documents in support of qualifications, age etc. should be produced at the time of interview for verification.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR THE SACON JOB:

1. Candidates applying for the above position should possess the Essential Qualification as per the details given against the position.
2. An applicant can make an application for a maximum of 2 advertised positions only. Candidates making an application for two advertised positions must send separate sets of filled-in application together with photocopies of all testimonials.
3. The top age limitation may be relaxed up to 5 years when it comes to candidates coming from SC/ST/OBC/ Women/Physically Challenged categories according to Central Government standards.
4. The selected candidate will be engaged initially for a period mentioned against the advertised position. Subsequently his/her tenure could be extended depending upon the exigencies of work at the sole discretion of the Centre and satisfactory performance of the candidate.
5. Selected candidate may be allowed hostel accommodation at SACON according to availability. Other benefits and advantages to the research personnel are admissible in accordance with the rules.
6. The selection of the candidate(s) will be based on the walk-in-interview to be held at SACON, Moongilpallam, Anaikatty, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Candidates must report to the venue at 09.00 a.m. on the day of interview for registration and verification of original certificates.
7. Canvassing in any form is accountable for rejection of the candidature.
8. The Centre won’t provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.

10. The Director, SACON reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information given by the candidate or for another reason.

Fellowship: Rs. 28672.16 monthly (Consolidated).

Essential Qualifications: (i) Master’s Degree (PG) with minimal 55% marks in Zoology, Botany, Life science or Environmental Science from a recognized University, (ii) Diploma in Computer software/ RS/GIS.

Desirable Qualifications: (i) Knowledge of Wetland Ecology/ Conservation Science, (ii) Well-versed in Computer applications, (iii) Proficiency in Spoken and also Written English, (iv) Proficiency in Spoken Hindi and (v) Minimum two years of experience in a similar capacity. (vi) CSIR NET/ GATE qualification, (vii) Proficiency in extra-curricular activities

Description of Work: The selected applicant has to undertake data collection and compilation of wetland related literature. Assist the Program Officer and Information Officer in the dissemination of information, preparation of web site and publications material to be circulated among different sections of the society. Help as well as participate in the existing and also new activities of the ENVIS Resource partner based on the instructions received from the Project coordinator and ENVIS secretariat.
