Job Purpose:
We are looking for an exceptional scientist with a solid background in immunology/ immuno-immunology to join our Biology team. The successful applicant will certainly have a deep understanding of cellular immunology and/or immuno-oncology with extensive laboratory experience with the culture, phenotyping of immune cells based upon the surface and also intracellular markers and also the functional characterization of human and mouse T cells, B cells and other immune cell subsets.
Key Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be responsible for handling R&D techniques like: Multicolour flow cytometry and data analysis, cytotoxicity, cell proliferation, apoptosis, cell cycle assays.
- Work with immune cells, isolation of human PBMCs, monocytes, T cells and B cells, deriving myeloid cells as well as culturing them, cytotoxicity as well as phagocytosis assays, mixed lymphocyte cultures, ADCC and also CDC assays.
- Work with mouse primary immune cells, harvesting and also generating mouse DCs, macrophages, T cells and also B cells.
- Possess the knowledge and exposure to the environment, health, as well as safety (EHS) practices.
- Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.
- Guarantee environment, health, and also safety (EHS) measures are imparted by means of training and adhered within the team.
Educational Qualification: PhD in Immunology or Cancer Immunology or Biomedical sciences.
Technical/functional Abilities:
- DNA/RNA extraction, western blotting, PCR,
- Applicant should be able to work with Flow J and Graphpad Prism.
- ELISA, Luminex and ELISPOT based assays.
- Experience with antibody affinity characterization using Octet as well as Biacore.
- Computer proficiency including the use of spreadsheet and also word processing software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Powerpoint.
- Candidate must have excellent communication and also presentation abilities.
Experience: PhD with 1-3 years of experience post qualification.
