Name of Project: “Genetic engineering approach to increase storage lipid synthesis in rice leaves for sustainable biofuel production ”.
Description: The project aims to provide a sustainable solution for biofuel generation in plants, avoiding the ‘food-vs-fuel’ debate. Successful candidates will be exposed to molecular biology, plant genetic engineering and plant tissue culture.
Name of the PI: Dr. Surajit Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor, Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Kolkata.
Fellowship Duration: The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of two years. The position is co-terminus with the project.
Stipend and other allowances: 20,000 per month consolidated.
Essential Qualifications for Amity Vacancy: M.Sc./ M. Tech. in any branch of Biological Sciences with 60% marks or Equivalent grade from UGC-recognized University.
Desirable Qualification for Amity Vacancy: Candidates having qualified and having valid CSIR/UGC NET or GATE scorecard
. Experience in plant molecular biology and plant tissue culture is preferable.How to Apply for Amity Vacancy:
