WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR RECRUITMENT OF
POSITIONS FOR TWO JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS (JRF)
Applications are invited by the undersigned from the eligible candidates for TWO posts of Junior Research Fellows (JRF) (one for each project) in the following research projects sponsored by Central Silk Board (CSB); Government of India.
Title of the project:
1. Development of drought tolerant mulberry variety for rainfed sericulture.
Duration of the project: Upto 31st December, 2019. JRF for initially two years and later upgradable to SRF based on the performance.
2. Development of thermotolerant bivoltine breeds/ hybrids of silkworm, Bombyx mori through marker assisted selection.
Duration of the project : Upto 30th April, 2021. JRF for initially two years and later upgradable to SRF based on the performance.
Essential Qualifications for JRF:
Project 1: M.Sc. in Plant Physiology / Plant Biochemistry / Plant breeding with minimum of 60%marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
Project 2: M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Sericulture / Entomology (with molecular biology background) with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
Desirable qualifications for JRF
Experience in Plant physiology, biochemical characterization and molecular markers (For Project 1). Working knowledge on DNA based markers (For Project 2).
Emoluments:
JRF: Rs. 12000/- per month (Likely to be enhanced) + HRA as per Central Silk Board (CSB) rules (For Project I & 2).

Time: 10.00 AM onwards (candidates should reach the venue by 10.00 AM for verification of documents).
Entry of candidates will be permitted only till 11 AM.

- Upper age limit: 28 years as on the date of interview (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and women candidates).
- No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
- The above mentioned positions are purely temporary on contractual basis and are co-terminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
