Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow position in the “DBT Programme
Support on the development of sheath blight disease resistant transgenic rice: Resistance tests in PR-protein-expressing transgenic rice and discovery of new RNA silencing strategies”. The research carried out as JRF/SRF will lead to Ph.D.
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1
Period : For the DBT Project period
Fellowship : As per DBT norms (The fellowships will be upgraded to SRF as per the DBT/University norms after two years)
Eligibility : M.Sc./M.Tech First Class in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences,
Plant Sciences, Genomic Sciences, Biochemistry, Agriculture. CSIR/UGC/DBT or Equivalent
National Eligibility Test qualification is desirable. Experience in recombinant DNA methods,
Culture of microbes, Plant tissue culture is essential.
- Those who are in the final year of M.Sc. (With first class until the third semester) are
eligible to apply. - They must have completed the course at the time of joining.
