Engaging Project Sciencists for the project “Geospatial Inventory of Coffee
Plantations at National Level (GeoCUP)”
Central Coffee Research Institute (CCRI) is looking for candidates possessing requisite qualification and experience to work as Project Scientists (Geospatial Analysts-l No.) in the Coffee Board-ISRO collaborative project “Geospatial Inventory of Coffee Plantations at National Level (GeoCUP)”. The positions are available pwely on adhoc basis from April 2017 to Nov 2017. The details of job description, qualification requirements and emoluments are as follows:

Job Description : The work of Project Scientist (Geospatial Analyst) involves field data collection, satellite data & GIS analysis and other relevant tasks as part of the project work for mapping of coffee plantations at national level

Place of Posting : Bangalore
Emoluments : Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA as per the entitlement
Age : Should not be more than 35 years as on 31-03-2017
Essential Oualifications:
M.Sc. (Agri.) in Horticulture with specialization in Plantations crops/ Agronomy / Crop
Physiology / Agriculture Statistics / Forestry / M.Sc., Environmental Science from
recognized Agricultural Universities (or)
M. Tech or equivalent qualification in Geo-informatics/ Remote Sensing (or) M.Sc. or
Equivalent qualification in Remote Sensing / Physics / Geography Candidates
possessing postgraduate degree in basic sciences should have been NET qualified.
Desirable Qualification :
1 . A specialization in Plantation crops (coffee, tea etc)
2. Knowledge in remote sensing & GIS and lmage processing & GIS Packages like ERDAS, ARCGIS etc
3. Knowledge in statistical data analysis and Microsoft Excel

Conditions / Instructions
- Posts are purely on temporary basis for the duration of the project and are likely to be extended at the discretion of Coffee Board.The selected candidates cannot claim
permanent position in Coffee Board based on the current recruitment.
- Appointees are liable to work at Coffee Board or any of its centres and RRSC-S,
Bengaluru as per the project requirement as and when required
- Coffee Board reserves the right to terminate the services of selected candidates at
any time without prior notice and without assigning any reason.
- Interested candidates possessing 1st class and above in the above degrees may
submit their bio-data with complete details on qualification, experience etc.
- Applications should be accompanied with attested copies of certificates in respect of
proof for date of birth, Qualifications, marks cards, experience certificate.
- Candidates employed in Government sector should produce no objection certificate from
their current employer at the time of interview.
- Applications received after due date/without enclosures/incomplete are liable to be
rejected
