Job Description :
- Should have research and working experience in bioinformatics (specifically in the next-generation sequencing technology space).
- Should be well-versed in the basics of molecular biology.
- Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, oral and written communication skills, and accustomed to working both independently and collaboratively.
- Have proficiency in Python, PERL or R; Proficiency working in a Linux environment and with Unix shell scripting.
- Familiarity with the standard tools for NGS analysis (e.g. BWA, samtools, vcftools, bedtools, Picard tools, GATK, Bowtie, Tophat, Cufflinks) is desirable.
Desired Profile :
- Qualification: MSc/BTech/MTech (Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics)
- 1-3 years relevant experience
- Bioinformatician to work on various NGS analysis projects
