ADVERTISEMENT FOR TEMPORARY POSITION OF SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Technical Assistant (temporary, with no rights for absorption in UDSC) under DST-PURSE phase II program, in the Department of Genetics, University of Delhi South Campus at a fixed salary of Rs. 28000/- p.m. The Department has a well-equipped Central Instrumentation Facility with high-end equipment like, Live Cell Imaging, Apotome, Ultracentrifuge, Real-time PCR, French Press etc. which are used by all students of the Department and also open to students of other departments.

Salary : Rs. 28000/- p.m Fixed
Job Description :
- The Senior Technical Assistant would be responsible to operate/oversee the operation of these equipments.
- The person would also help in the day to-day experiments of the post-graduate students of the department.
Qualification :
Candidates with the following essential qualifications can apply:
- A postgraduate degree in the area of Life Science/Biotechnology and Allied field with two years’ experience in relevant field. OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with three years experience as Technical Assistant or an equivalent experience in laboratory of a University or a College/R&D Institution/Autonomous rganisation under State/Central Government. OR
- 3 year Diploma in relevant subject with 5 years’ experience in laboratory of a University or a College/R&D Institution/Autonomous Organisation under State/Central Government.
Candidate with previous experience in operating some of the above equipments, will be preferred.
